Apples New Connector "Lighting"

According to our sources, Apple’s new, smaller 9-pin dock connector is dubbed “Lightning” internally. As of this evening, we believe that this name will extend to the new connector’s marketing name. The moniker makes sense for two reasons. One: it goes along with the Thunderbolt connector name on the Mac (Thunderbolt and lightning!). Two: perhaps “Lightning” means that the new dock connector will be able to sync via a computer at faster speeds that the current 30-pin connector. With Apple’s new USB3-enabled Macs, we’d hope so anyway. It will sell for around $20 though previous reports indicated $10

One thing to consider: Apple’s Thunderbolt ports have a little lightning bolt on them. How many newbs will mistakenly try to plug their Lightning cables into that port?

HOW BALLERS PARK THEIR CARS...IN THE LIVING ROOM

"Supercar owners living in an exclusive high-rise apartment block can now park their beloved motors from their - LIVING ROOMS. Hamilton Parks in Singapore is a brand-new 30-storey development where flats cost between £6 and £15 MILLION. But with parking in the city limited, the skyscraper designer came up with an innovative way of parking some of the planets fastest cars. Residents simply drive their 200mph motors into a biometrically- controlled lift at the base of Hamilton Parks on the city's swanky Orchard Road." - ItzDeanMan

Nicki Minaj On American Idol??

Earlier this month, it was reported that the producers of "American Idol" were looking for a new judge to be part of the show and had female rapper Nicki Minaj in their sights. Nothing has been made official as of yet, and it seems as if there will be much to work out before anything is set in stone.
Reports say that Nicki Minaj's deal with Pepsi may pose a challenge to her becoming a judge on "American Idol" because the show is sponsored by Coca-Cola. Despite sponsorship issues getting in the way of things, it's being said that Nicki is close to signing a deal with the television series.
"Nicki Minaj's 'American Idol' contract is almost signed, but her deal with Pepsi is holding it up. Pepsi sponsors her tour, but "Idol" is sponsored by Coca–Cola, so they're hashing out how to get around the sticky cola issue. We're told "Idol" execs want to announce Minaj as a judge as soon as possible, before the auditions start filming in the next week or two. Sources say producers "want to see that drama between Nicki and Mariah Carey. It'll make for good TV."
